When faced with a decision, they are unable to think rationally. This is particularly true when the workplace is male-dominated.

Yet, new research in the INFORMS journal Marketing Science suggests that even when shoppers stay inside — and browsing through ads on their smartphones — good weather will inspire them to buy.
