Event Details/Other Comments:

The ECCO conference is an international forum for theoretical researchers and practitioners who use models and methods of combinatorial optimization. The specific objective of the conference ECCO XVIII (Minsk, May 26-28, 2005) is a special accent made on problems of modern manufacturing, logistics and supply chains.

The conference aims include:
exchanging results and experience in solving problems of production, logistics, and supply chain management by combinatorial methods
searching for most adequate models and efficient solution methods for the above mentioned problems
establishing new scientific contacts and organizing research groups working in different countries on close topics
attracting attention of the society to solving problems of optimal control, distribution and usage of scarce resources, revenue maximization, cost minimization, environment protection by modern mathematical apparatus of combinatorial optimization
Topics of the conference include, but not limited to:

mathematical models in production, logistics and supply chain management
problems and methods of combinatorial optimization
integer and mixed integer programming
optimization problems on graphs and networks
optimal production planning and inventory control
new information technologies and combinatorial optimization
management in different spheres of human activity
combinatorial optimization in ecology and medicine
